Context Background:

South Dublin County Council commissioned Fiona Murphy as part of the Fuse 2005 programme.

Description:

The piece comments on the allocation of physical space and time in a world where each is becoming more precious. It is made from 3mm laser-cut stainless steel, in a 1m by 1m square and installed into the pavement outside the main door to the County Council Offices in Tallaght.

Artist Biography:

Fiona Mulholland was born in France in 1969. She completed a B.des (1st class Hons) at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. (1989-83) and a Masters from  Royal College of Art. London, (1996-98).
